Wrong Again

I love the song, Wrong Again by Martina McBride. Makes me think of all the times that I have been wrong before in my life, which is generally everyday.

Seriously, everyday I am wrong about something.

Time For an Update on Ginger

It has been forever since I did an update or an about Ginger post.

Hi, My name is Ginger and what do I want you to know about me?

Well, I am shy, but at the same time, I am very outgoing. I guess it would depend on the situation or the person.

I live near Nashville, TN. yea yea home of Country Music. Also, home of some kick’n Bluegrass Music and ME!

I have 4 children. An almost 18-year-old, as she reminds me, 8 days away and that would be Casey.Casey also has an almost 8 month daughter, her name is Jacklynn, or Joonbug, or as I call her Jacks. She is such a cutie. Cody is 16 and he is also my autistic son. He also loves to talk about cars, welding and building or tearing apart something.. He is also a talker in his sleep and a lover of collecting junk. Adam, he is 12 and well, he keeps my couch warm by watching tv or playing video games. He is also quite the charmer and almost always gets his way because he has those eyes.  Then last but lord willing not least, there is Jonah. my 10-year-old who loves to tell others about Jesus Christ. He also like Pokémon cards and will sit in his room just playing with them and creating different scenario’s with them, or he tries to con someone into playing with him.

Then there is my husband Jamie. He does some kind of job in a factory in KY. He loves what he does. He is an introvert, but if you can catch him talking, he likes to talk about cars, or gaming. We have been married for almost 12 years now. To think, when we got together, he was told to stay far away from me. And here we are, stuck like glue.

We also have 2 small dogs, Suzi the red-haired toy poodle that is 7 and Sam, Sam is well Sam. He is a Bicha-poo. He is also Suzi’s son and is 6 years old. He is quite the dog. Suzi is the lover of socks, and Sam is, well, just Sam. Hard to describe him.

Then there is me. I love to photograph people and landscapes and I generally have the camera in front of my face taking a picture of something.  I am a Macbook Pro enthusiast snob. I am also a Canon lover snob. I shoot with a Canon 40d and love it. Right now, I only have a 50mm 1.8 by Canon. I used to shoot with a Canon XSi and had a few lenses and a speedlight, but we fell on hard times and I had to sell it. But, times are good now for us. God has been good to us. I plan to buy a Canon 85mm 1.8 here in a few short weeks  and possibly a Tamron 24-70mm 2.8. Or, a Canon Speedlight and a camera bag. Not sure. But most definitely an 85mm 1.8, or the 24-70mm…. I gotta figure out which one I want more.

I also love blogging, I used to blog a lot more, but had some issues and then became almost non-existent in the blogging world. But, lucky for you, I am trying to get back into the blogging world. To be honest, I miss writing. I miss sharing my thoughts and opinions. I miss a lot of things. So, I hope to be able to post more about the things I care about, post more about the things I have a passionate opinion about, even if it is not a common belief among my peers.  I will be sharing about my life, my photo’s, and whatever else comes to my mind. So buckle your seat belt and hang on for the ride.

Saving Money, Surveys, Coupons, Oh My…

So, now that I am home full-time, or unless God tells us otherwise. I have been trying to find ways to make money from home, saving as much money as possible, and still live how we want or as close.
No, I am not meaning, being able to run to the store whenever I want to buy whatever we want, but being able to pay our bills on time, and buying our needs. We have/ are still going through what are the must haves to do’s each month such as rent, water, electric, van insurance,  and phone bill. Those are the we have to pay for this each month. Jamie and I want to start tithing as well starting in Jan. Well, it is not a want, it is what we ARE going to do. We know this is what God would want us to do. So, we are stepping out in faith and will be doing this.

I have been doing surveys. Do they bring in a lot of money, no, but I earn points and with those points I can turn them around and use them for gift cards at Amazon, or Starbucks, or even Itunes. I have been paid in cash by a couple of them as well, well a check that I can cash.  I will add links to some of the surveys sites that I have been getting paid through. I know they work.

Viewpoint Forum Now, I am not sure if they are taking new people. All I know is that I can not refer new people anymore. I have been with them since 2002 and probably get about 12 dollars a quarter. I have also done many product testing for them as well. I wish I could tell you what, but that would go against their TOS so I can not.

And these are survey sites I am working through and have done a few surveys. I have not redeemed my points but know folks that have.

Myview leave me a message in the comments and your email if you want a referral. I could not find a link I could use to refer from a link.

A couple other sites I use that I have gotten either cash from or points and been able to redeem them for things like Amazon gift cards or even paypal cash.

Jingit if you are a friend of mine, I do post this on Facebook and that is the only way I can get referrals at the moment. Please  get me to refer you that way! This shows you video’s and you get paid to watch them. You can earn 5$ a week or more depending on how many referrals you get for yourself after you join!

Those are just some of the many that are online. I must admit, since I started writing this post on 1/4/2012, I have not been diligent in using the survey sites. They do take time.  Facebook has been eating up that time I have to admit. ( working on that)

Now coupons, I have been getting more diligent on using those. I only print those that I know I will use, or those that I know will be a money-maker. I also get a couple of papers each week. One or two that I buy and my neighbor usually has one for me. I cut only those that I will use, and those that I know will be a money-maker. It has been a learning process.  I do not have a stock pile as some do, but I am starting to gather stuff that we use the most of. Learning what I have stocked we never use, and just getting used to what is going on.

So, this is some of what goes on, any questions ask away in the comments and I will get back to you!

A Person I Love…

In one of my many photography groups, the theme for this week is “A Person I Love”. Naturally, as a Mama to 4 and a Nana to one, plus being married to my favorite man in the whole world, I had a hard time figuring out who to shoot.

So, Cody was leaning on the door frame talking my ear off….

Bless that boy…

Anyways, so I grabbed my trusty Canon 40d and said pretend I am not here….

Not the best, low-light and high ISO. Also motion blur from a slow shutter speed. But all in all, I like it. I LOVE it, since it is someone I love….
