I have been signing up for whatever freebie that is out there known to man.
I have been signing up for coupons and printing them out.
I have got to grab some full time samples from some places to test out and review.
I have saved alone over $400.00 this month.
I have also started a nice stock pile going.

Stormy Weather….

The last couple of weeks, here in middle Tennessee, we have had several storms, some resulted in us seeking shelter in our bathroom/hallway, under the couch cushions.

The dogs hiding out with Jonah and I in the bathroom recently.

Just as in weather storms, in life, we have storms. Where we think everything is about to fall down around us like rain. I know you know what I means.

Death, financial, divorce, school, and you name it, we all have weathered many storms..

Some days I feel like Job.  Look what he went through.  He lost his livestock, his children, and his servants, he then suffered horrid skin sores. His wife told him he should curse God. did he? No!  He blessed God in his prayers.

We need to do that as well. When God gives us a trial, we need to say thank you.

The skies might be gray, but, inside, our spirit should be nice and sunny!

I know I suffer with trying to remain positive and sunny. It is hard for me. Growing up, my family is one to list all the negative you do and hold it over your head. All my life I have gotten that. Now, some of my family have outgrown that ( Praise Be) but it is tough getting over it. I was the black sheep growing up. I was the one pregnant at 16 and again at 21 without a husband. Then was blamed for my sister doing the same with her 5 resulting pregnancies.

Now I know, that it is not my fault, I have long since gotten over that guilt and blame.

I was the one with all the financial difficulties, I dated the wrong guys….

Storms of the past still can have a hold on us, if we let it. Let go of it if you are holding on to the past.

Future is not here either…

Hold on to today, Praise God for all the good in your life,

Praise Him for the storms too!

Philippians 4:8   Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever thingsare honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things

Psalms 28:7   The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will Ipraise him.

Life as I Want it to Be

Most days I think we just muddle through. We get up, run to the bathroom.

Is that just me?

We eat our breakfast, we grab our meds or vitamins or both. We take them. Drink the coffee.

We grab a shower, sip some more coffee and check Facebook.

But do we grab our bible to have some quiet time with Him?

I think a lot of us, me included are just on the constant run.  We do not give God much thought till we actually need Him. I know, I am the same way.

This week, I was determined to praise His name each day, No matter what. I have not really gotten up to read my bible, but I have been praising His name. God is good all the time, even on Mountains when we think He is just sitting around. He isn’t. But when life is going good, we tend to not think about God.

Life as I want it to be…..

We can all say how we want to be.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a veterinarian. I then wanted to be an NFL football player. On the Buffalo Bills.

I know extremely laughable on both accounts.

A friend and I in highschool both tried out to be on the football team.  Neither one of us made it. We were told we were girls.

Well, when we tried out, everyone laughed at us too LOL….

I want to live my life more pleasing to God. I want to trust in Him, have more Faith in Him.

I want to give Him praise, even in the bad times. A work in progress.

I am a work in progress, aren’t we all though?

I want to be a better parent. I am working on giving my children to God, especially my teen daughter.

I want to……

fill in the blank.  We all have wants. We all have dreams.

Everyone has a past, it is how we look to the future and how we act now is what is important.

I want to be a better Christian, and this is what I am and will be working on.

Review of The Factor Tree

I just reviewed The Factor Tree for The Bzzagent.

While I think it would be great for a child needing some extra practice after school, it is not meant to be the teacher.

As a teacher, I think it lacks a lot of “teaching”.  Reviewing, yes, teaching, no.

It works well, and it was very easy to sign up. I just can not recommend  it for homeschoolers.

Using the beta test to find out where your child is in their learning, is a good tool as well. I was able to see that I needed to back up with my son and reteach double digit math.  But, this program does not teach, it just give the problem, your child answers them, and then if they did well, they get a medal of sorts. Which I think is great!

If you have a child in a traditional school, I think this program will fit your needs. It give the problem and your child answers them. Does it teach? No, but does it “redo” what is already taught? Yes.

I do give it thumbs up, I just would not recommend it to homeschoolers.
